This Friday the fourth instrumental album 'Orbis Quadrantis' from Monomyth will be released! With 90 points in Aardschok Magazine and a 'vette krent'-review in IO-Pages, this album easily surpasses its predecessor 'Exo'. To accompany this release the band has released a brand new video for their album track ‘Auster’. This video has been made by audio-visual artist and cinematographer Luc Sponselee mostly known for his transcendent drone performances and the experimental music label Zesde Kolonne.
For this video Luc used a vintage Fisher-Price PXL2000 black-and-white toy camcorder produced in 1987. This camera uses a compact audio cassette as its recording medium and has become a sought-after cult object The road we follow always remains undefined. We are looking for the adventure in the form of new sounds and in terms of approach. This differs in that respect from our previous work, it is sonically much more complete. Consider Orbis Quadrantis as a shell that you can listen to and you hear the sea rustling." Monomyth
The first vinyl edition in both 180g ‘black’ and limited 180g ‘clear transparent green and black mixed’ vinyl comes in a 6-panel fold-out cover with double-sided artwork, black polybag inner cover and transparent plastic outer cover with Monomyth logo!
