After an enforced year of silence we can finally say with certainty that the 2nd edition of the Miracle Metal Meeting will be held on September 11th 2021. We don’t need to tell you that we are thrilled!

We stick to our ambition to organize a small-scale, but qualitative and cozy festival, where we love to give a stage to good Belgian bands, accompanied with maybe 1 or 2 international bands. Deinze will yet again be shaking on its foundations to the tones of metal music. Again this year we are able to present a varied Belgian line-up with a Dutch finishing touch.

For a moment it looked like the vaccination program would stand in the way because the Brielpoort is currently used as a vaccination centre, but we have found a good alternative in case it is needed.

All information and tickets for the festival can be found at www.metalmeeting.be

We would also like to present the bands to you. The band that will be closing the festival will remain a secret for the time being.

The first band in the line-up is Turpentine Valley who reduces its post-metal to purity, etching’ it to the soul of anyone open to it. No words, massive sound. Hitting it hard. Layered guitars. Growling bass. Allowing music to tell its story : slow, intens, hard and relentless. 3 like-minded souls, 1 wall of sound : heavy but comelling, from agonizingly slow to rousing horny. Tons of passion, anthusiasm and loads of fun, that’s what it’s all about.

Jan Coudron hit the Miracle stage with King Hiss on the first edition, but this year he returns with post-metal band Carneia. Inspired by bands like Tool and Faith No More the band developed their own identity. Carneia creates an eclectic wall of sound, impregnated with well-thought-out riffs and varied heavy rhythms. All this is topped with a sauce of powerful vocals.

We don’t need to present Dyscordia anymore. For more than 10 years now, they have been making many concert venues unsafe with their extremely strong melodic and progressive sound. In recent years they have steadily built up an extremely strong fan base with a sold-out release show of their latest album “Delete/Rewrite” as the best proof. The record itself received very nice reviews, so we are very much looking forward to seeing them on our stage in Deinze.

In the 1990s, the H8000 scene arose in West Flanders, where bands such as Congress and LIAR, the next band in our line-up, made international fame. Like any good harcore band, their lyrics are socially-critical and their music is deafening. Especially for the Miracle Metal Meeting they will bring a “Deathrow Earth” set. Not to be missed by any hardcore-fan!

With Spoil Engine we bring one of the most important metalbands of the Benelux to our stage. The band, with a Dutch-Belgian line-up, has already appeard at various major metal festivals several times. In addition, they have also been able to support major bands such as Megadeth, Motörhead and Volbeat to name a few. Their most recent album “Renaissance Noir” has become an absolute jewel and received rave reviews. Female singer Iris Goessens (NL) will blow away the audience with her grunts, screams, shouts and clean vocals.

In 1984 La Muerte saw the light of day. The band’s music was influenced by The Birthday Party, The Stooges and even Salvador Dali. La Muerte is one of the few Belgian bands to receive rave reviews in music magazines such as NME and they even played a live session with BBC radio producer John Peel!

After 20 years of silence, the band decided to come back with a slightly different line-up. The 2 original members, Marc Du Marias and Dee-J, plus Michel Kerby (Wolvennest and Arkangel), Christian 2 (Length of Time) and Tino Martino (Channel Zero), played a comeback show to a sold-out AB.It didn’t stop at a few concerts, because there was also a new album, simply called “La Muerte”.

We can’t wait to see this cult band at work on our stage!
