“Decline & Fall” is the first single of the upcoming fifteenth studio album by Manic Street Preachers. It comes on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the band’s seminal 1994 album ‘The Holy Bible’ and was recorded at the band’s Door to The River studio in Newport and at Rockfield Studios in Monmouth. The record was produced by longtime collaborators Dave Eringa and Loz Williams, with mixing by Caesar Edmunds (known for his work with Beach House, Suede, and Wet Leg).

The band say on the record: “Musically with ‘Decline & Fall’ we tried to create forward motion – a song which harnesses the past to propel it into the future – the lyric is one of realisation and understanding – of celebrating the tiny miracles that still exist whilst accepting and embracing managed decline”.
