Luka signs with Snowstar Records and releases first single of upcoming album. Single ‘Lost Today/Found Tomorrow’ is a first teaser of the debut album that will be released later this year.

Singer-songwriter & musician Luka signed with Snowstar Records today, where she will release her upcoming debut album later this year. The independent label from Utrecht, The Netherlands is known for quality indie music from bands like I am Oak, Kim Janssen, broeder Dieleman and Donna Blue. To celebrate the new signing, first single ‘Lost Today/Found Tomorrow’ is released today and available everywhere. The single comes with a mesmerizing video. Luka will play two support shows in Belgium for Faces on TV in April, for which tickets are on sale now.

Born in Cape Town, raised and based in the Netherlands; singer-songwriter Lisa Lukaszczyk forms the creative foundation for her band Luka. With her colourful voice and honest songs, she paints images that seem very familiar, yet are intriguing and exciting. Inspired by artists such as Lianne La Havas, Feist and Bon Iver, Luka exhibits a sound with touches of dreamy electro-pop, folk and soul.

After the successfully self-released debut EP ‘Welcome, Generation Everything’ early 2018, she ended up playing over 80 shows throughout Europe. Highlights include Sziget Festival and Motel Mozaique Festival.

In 2020 it's time for new music. She wrote and recorded new music in the past months, hidden away in the renowned Wisseloord Studios with producer Wannes Salomé (Klangstof) and studio engineer Sam Jones (a.o. Luwten, Klangstof, Kim Janssen).
'Lost Today/Found Tomorrow' is the first single of the upcoming album, about which Luka says the following: "When you learn to let go of things, it starts with embracing that everything has an ending. This song is about settling into that moment and let go of everything else. What was lost today, will be found tomorrow.".

New single ‘Lost Today/Found Tomorrow’ is available now on Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, Deezer and Bandcamp. Watch the beautiful video that comes with the song right here:
