London based trio PLYA have delivered another slice of glistening electronic alt-pop with the gorgeous new track ‘Fever’. It’s taken from their upcoming EP Still In Love, which is set for release June 5th. The EP is a 4-track collection that “explores different states of emotions, from love & self-reflection to desperation. Feelings that can heal you, break you down but ultimately make you feel alive”, explain the band.

Following the previously released powerful single ‘Dynamite’, which explores the addiction to unhealthy relationships, ‘Fever’ continues, expressing the pain and emotion from this toxic love wrapped up in immersive and gentle dreamy-pop.

"’Fever’ is about the comfort of knowing that things can only get better once you’re feeling your worst, and accepting that sometimes it takes a while to reach the turning point in order to self-reflect”, reveals vocalist Julia Sykes, “It’s using that hurt, pain and despair to make you stronger.”

Elsewhere the title-track ‘Still In Love’, opens the EP with a dynamic hit, conveying the frustration and confusion of letting down your guard and losing face while the atmospheric ‘Ocean’ provides a wave of sensual melodies that sit with the emotive idea of feeling lifted and saved by someone.

The EP follows a string of releases throughout 2018 which introduced PLYA and their cinematic style. Their debut track ‘Thinking Of You’ quickly sparked attention, seeing them secure BBC London’s ‘BBC Introducing Featured Artist’ and excited tastemakers such as Q, NME and Clash Magazine.

The Hype Machine Top 10 single ‘Feast My Eye’ was hand-selected by Sir Elton John for his Apple Music Beats 1 Radio show and was followed by the lustrous double release of‘Innocent’ and ‘Addition’. The tail end of the year saw the band team up with the Italian label Manifesto to release‘Adrenaline’, which has now amassed over 2million Spotify streams.

PLYA have being playing sold out shows across London and have supported the likes of Grammy nominated artist K.Flay, R.LUM.R, The Aces and The Night Game in the UK and Europe. They also joined the bill of upcoming talent at The Great Escape Festival 2018 and appeared at the sold-out three-day festival O Son do Camino in Spain.
