Lisa Mills is proud to announce the release of a new single “I’m In Love”, taken from her upcoming album “The Triangle”, out March 13 via Melody Place Music/BMG.
“I’m In Love” follows the release of “Greenwood, Mississippi” and was recorded in Memphis, Tennessee during Mills musical journey. The album, which is produced by the great Fred Mollin is full of wonderous story-telling, inspired by the triangle formed by the towns of Memphis, Muscle Shoals and Jackson, Mississippi.
Mollin remembers: “Lisa and I went into this iconic studio for her to record this beautiful song with the most historic soul musicians that made Memphis famous. She is so vocally gifted - one of only a handful of artists that could do it justice. I’m thrilled for everyone to hear it.”
As Mills, who splits her time between USA and Germany, travelled on her musical journey, she recorded songs that were originally recorded in each city and became one with the songs, she says about “I’m In Love”: It’s such a joyful tune! Singing this song through Al Green's microphone in Royal Studios/Memphis with the soulful Hi Rhythm Section backing me up, I felt the spirit of the music lift me up towards the Heavens. Later, after the backing singers and horns were added, I put the final vocal touches inspired by my true Love who was in the studios that day looking on. Heaven, indeed. Hallelujah. Amen. I am thrilled this song will be released in Europe and Australia on Valentine's Day. "Love, Love, Love, y'all!”
