Meet Levi Heron – the self-taught Scottish DJ from a remote island off the coast of Scotland who’s making serious waves with his edit of The Glen. Born and raised on the Isle of Lewis — a tight-knit community of 18,000 where crofting, fishing, and weaving are part of daily life — Levi has spent his days cleaning salmon nets along the Scottish coast. But behind the scenes, he was quietly honing his craft as a producer. Now, the world is finally listening.
His remix of The Glen, a cult favourite by fellow Scottish artist Beluga Lagoon, began as a deeply personal project. Levi created the track as a surprise for his mum’s 50th birthday — a heartfelt tribute to her all-time favourite song. What started as a gift has since taken on a life of its own, resonating far beyond the shores of the Hebrides.
Since its release, The Glen has racked up over 2.9 million global streams (170k in Belgium!) with a new daily peak of 316,000 streams just this week. It’s soared to #4 on iTunes UK, broken into 15 Shazam charts around the world, and climbed to #63 on the Official Charts — not bad for a first official release. Online, it’s sparked a wave of creativity, with over 80,000 user-generated creations, including 10,000 new ones this week alone. It’s currently #1 in the worldwide (and Belgian) Spotify Viral Chart!
Brand new to the game, Levi Heron is proud, Scottish, and undeniably talented — quietly working for years toward this moment. The Glen isn’t just a remix; it’s a love letter to his roots, a celebration of his heritage, and the beginning of an electrifying new chapter.
