About League of Corruption:

League of Corruption are a groove metal band emerging from the primordial ooze of the Vancouver heavy music scene. Founded by scene veteran Chris Barlow the group has sought to unveil hard hitting rhythms that pay tribute to the old masters. Featuring quasi-legendary thrash metal vocalist Brian Langley of Aggression and Infernal Majesty, League of Corruption has operated on and off since 2005. However, since 2016 the group has seen a new and exciting level of activity. With their longtime friends Drewski and Paul Trounce rounding out the lineup, the band knew they were ready to take on the world with their pure Canadian carnage.

The band has, from the first, sought to craft a sound that fuses classics like Black Sabbath and Lynyrd Skynyrd with more modern icons such as Corrosion of Conformity and Down. This leads to a southern tinged assault hailing from the Great White North. Suffice it to say, League of Corruption like their metal groovy and their beers cold. It all ties into the bands ambitious overarching vision. Now, with the revamped lineup in tow, League of Corruption are preparing to extend beyond just the occasional festival spot and instead become road warriors.

As the first band to sign to Rusty Axe Management the band has lofty aspirations. The group is preparing for a 2020 release of their debut full length, Something In The Water on Atlanta’s Black Doomba Records. This group of old friends has been honing a sound both live and in the practice room that is truly special. Any metal fan can see that the pedigree is there. Now it’s simply a question of seeing if League Of Corruption can step up to the plate. If you ask their fans though, they are about to knock it out of the park.
