Today, Lady Linn & her Magnificent Seven release the second taster of their upcoming album "Midnight Sun", out on October 17. "Move your body" is the perfect soundtrack to those hot summer nights.
"Move your body", also known as The house music anthem, written by Marshall Jefferson and Curtis McClain on vocals is one of the most legendary house anthems of all time.
"I’ve been singing House music with DJ /producer Red D (We play house recordings, FCL) for 20 years now and this has always been one of my favourites to sing live. This track has such a raw energy and much room for improvisation, I had to include it on my jazz album ‘Midnight Sun’."
Midnight Sun is a musical tribute to the night. The album features a selection of eleven songs about the night, carefully chosen from Lady Linn’s personal favorites. The result is a collection of fresh interpretations of timeless jazz, rock, pop, electronica, gospel, and house. Midnight Sun is an ode to darkness and light, the duality of life, and above all, to the night. The album will be released on October 17 via V2 Records, followed by a release concert at the Handelsbeurs in Ghent on November 10.
"My love for house music had to be featured on this album and the piano intro was perfect to play around with, also the raw male vocals (rock your body) that dialogue with Lady Linn on the album were perfect to sing by my horns & myself in a playful way. We had so much fun recording, improvising and getting lost in this fantastic house anthem!"
