Fresh off a sold-out Ireland and UK tour, including a landmark show at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, indie-folk trio Kingfishr share their latest single, ‘The Saviour’. The track blends soaring, anthemic choruses with raw, emotional intensity, capturing the essence of their meteoric rise.

Frontman Eddie Keogh says:
“‘The Saviour’ is about moving forward in the face of challenges and aiming higher. Part of it reflects on a harrowing college experience I witnessed.”

Formed at the University of Limerick by Eddie Keogh (vocals, guitar), Eoghan ‘McGoo’ McGrath (banjo), and Eoin ‘Fitz’ Fitzgibbon (bass), Kingfishr have drawn inspiration from Hans Zimmer, Bon Iver, and Ben Howard. Their second single, ‘eyes don’t lie’, became a viral hit with over 10 million streams, paving the way for their debut EP ‘Shadows’.

Renowned for their electrifying live performances, the band has supported acts like George Ezra, Dermot Kennedy, and Snow Patrol, and performed at Bruce Springsteen’s BST Hyde Park event. Their ‘Live From Dublin’ album, recorded at two sold-out shows at the 3Olympia Theatre, debuted at #5 on the Irish Album Chart, topped the Irish Independent Chart, and peaked at #7 on the UK’s Folk Albums Chart.

With ‘The Saviour’ offering the perfect entry point into their sound, Kingfishr are poised to make 2025 a transformative year, raising the bar even higher on all fronts.
