Mindless Eye is the latest single by producer/songwriter Kern Parks. Detailing the acceptance of fading relationships as you grow older, the tangible distance between himself and those once close to him blossoms into feelings of unease (“I don’t feel so settled/I don’t feel at home”). Another self-produced venture, this song dates back to his time at university in Leeds. Featuring soft drum tones and expansive synth palettes, this is Kern Parks at his most delicate to date. Kern Parks is the alias of producer and multi-instrumentalist Kieran Alexander.
He is a Nottingham born, London based artist, with a sound perfect for the late, lonely nights. After cutting his teeth in various punk bands, he began recording his own songs indebted to the sounds of dream pop, indie and electronic music, whilst studying music production at University. After several self released singles and EP's, Kieran is committed to creating a fresh identity for his music, and to keep pushing himself to expand on his influences.
