Iron Form comes from the imaginations of UK metal stalwarts and lifelong friends Alex Heffernan and Mario Gambardella. After years of playing in bands (Svalbard, Handcuff and Eulogy - to name a few!), they have joined forces in the form of a crushing new metalcore project.
Iron Form’s debut EP ‘Cut From Cold Blood’ draws inspiration from the pinnacle of early 2000s Post Hardcore and Metalcore acts, resulting in an aggressively visceral sound that features winding melodic passages, weighty riffs and candid vocal performances brimming with intensity. While encompassing a raw and honest sound, the EP showcases Iron Form’s musical dexterity, yet retains a sense of underlying brutality throughout.
Lead single ‘Become The Blade’ tells a direct and cruel story of losing rationale in a moment of extreme grief, being only able to see anger and vengeance as a viable path to the future. The song takes the form of an unsuspectingly anthemic mix of melodic hardcore and alternative metal—a catchy heavy hitter filled with twinkly intertwining guitars and impassioned vocals.
At its heart, this EP is a concept record that weaves a narrative of unforeseen suffering and a long fight through harsh, unrelenting circumstances. A common story of many who must not only endure a painstaking existence, but push forward with willpower and resilience. Across just 20 minutes, ‘Cut From Cold Blood’ delivers a strong message advocating for human liberation and unstoppable mental fortitude.
