Following early radio support from the BBC R1 Rock Show and Kerrang! Radio’s FRESH BLOOD, Lockjaw Records’ latest signings, borts, have just conjured up their latest single ‘Me & The Demons’, out now on all good DSPs. Stream and share on DSPs, Soundcloud or Bandcamp now.

The track is the first to be taken from their newly-announced debut album Preach This! which is set for release in spring 2021 on Lockjaw Records, with further details TBA. While the lockdown has been keeping them from performing live, the band have ambitious plans to live stream a full borts gig on 8th December 2020 in a bid to raise money for much-loved Kingston venue The Fighting Cocks.

Commenting on sticking to supernatural autumnal themes on the latest single, “the song is about my obsession with horror movies and how the pop culture we consume can sometimes match up perfectly with what is happening in our lives,” bassist Tom explains. “Musically, I’d been listening to a lot of Every Time I Die at the time, so the main riff was probably born from that, but the rest is just a straight up rock’n’roll jam.”

A 3-piece punk band from Salisbury in the South West of England, the trio formed from a longstanding friendship and a mutual love for music, films, games, and good old-fashioned chilled out hangs. Previously involved with the likes of Your Demise and Tireless, the friends have now returned in their latest guise with a pair of EPs which will combine to make their 2021 debut album release, including tracks taken from their imaginatively-titled four track debut EP1.

Previously released single ‘The Nurse’ is out now—produced by Lewis Johns (Palm Reader, Muncie Girls, Gnarwolves) at The Ranch, the track is an ode to self-loathing and love-liking, beer-drinking and collar-bone-breaking. “‘The Nurse’ was actually written about the nurse that looked after Tom when he broke his collarbone by backflipping (half naked, of course) on Bournemouth beach after a NOFX show, no less,” says guitarist Dom, matter of factly.

Lockjaw Records is an independent European punk and hardcore label who are proud to be part of a thriving international music community, built on friendship, social-responsibility and a mutual love of punk rock.
