Hooverphonic Celebrates 25 Years of The Magnificent Tree with Special Remix Edition
Belgian trip-hop pioneers Hooverphonic marked the 25th anniversary of their iconic album The Magnificent Tree with the release of a live album called ‘The Magnificent Tree – Live With Strings’ in september, and now also with a brand-new remix edition. This release reimagines the band’s timeless tracks through a fresh electro lens, offering fans a vibrant new way to experience one of their most beloved records.
Speaking about the project, founding member Alex Callier shared: “When I go on tour, I often make electro tracks for fun. One day I wanted to remix Hooverphonic’s iconic songs. All the influences of the music I love are in there, and it’s great to be able to present that to our audience.”
The remix album pays tribute to the original while embracing new sounds, blending Hooverphonic’s signature atmospheric style with contemporary electronic influences. It’s both a celebration of the past and a bold step into the future.
