After the critically acclaimed ‘Temple of Maia’ (2017), and the recent ‘Kind Of Blue’, Brussels singer-songwriter Halehan – freshly signed to [PIAS] Belgium - is back with the acoustic version of his latest single ‘Humi’ halehan.lnk.to/humiacoustic
As often in Halehan’s lyrics, ‘Humi’ (phonetically Who am I) tackles personal growth and more particularly the doubtful and self-judgmental search for an explanation to who we are. Inspired by his readings the lyrics ‘I forget who I was’ refer to Eckhart Tolle saying that when we try to define ourselves to others and ourselves we only reduce our possibilities and so forgetting or not knowing who we are allows us to be multiple at every instant. ‘Like I’m part of you’ refers to Thich Nhat Hanh’s views on inter-being reminding us that every cell in our body, our every thought and feeling, is a continuity of nature, our ancestors, and our surroundings. Think The Weeknd, James Blake and Oscar and The Wolf.
Halehan new EP is set for release in March 2020
