GEORGIE is delighted to announce her debut album, ‘At Home’, will receive its official physical release in 2021.

An impromptu album recorded during the first lockdown of 2020, ‘At Home’ proved to be a hit with fans and press alike. To meet exceptional demand, Soul Kitchen Records will be giving the record its full release on 8th January 2020. A special bonus bundle will also allow fans to purchase the new album, with a signed copy of Georgie’s previous release ‘Georgie: Live!’.

Speaking about the release Georgie says: “I was over the moon and overwhelmed with the response I got from my debut album At Home’ I’ve decided to release a physical copy in January. This album means so much to me, so it was beautiful to see how it had touched people especially during the struggles of the pandemic. I’m really excited to get this out as a physical album along with a show recorded in a great studio space in Nottingham.”

In anticipation of the release, Georgie will be airing an intimate online show that she has pre-recorded on Friday 11th December, where she will be playing all of the songs from the album acoustically. Fans will be able to purchase tickets and tune into the performance HERE.

Written during lockdown and released at the drop of hat, ‘At Home’ was perhaps one of 2020’s more uplifting surprises. Written against the backdrop of the global pandemic, Georgie put her heart on her sleeve to tell her own affecting story of love, loss and redemption in these strangest of times. Reflecting on the making of ‘At Home’ Georgie says:

“After finishing a UK tour with The Lighthouse Family, Covid 19 descended and forced me to lock myself away. I was lucky to have been building up my own little home studio over the past year so when the lockdown hit I had all I needed to get through and stay creative. ‘At Home” happened totally organically. When everything seemed to be spiralling out of control world wide and even more so in my personal life I turned to what I know best, writing songs. Writing this album has been my most enjoyable creative time to date. I had no idea it was something that would become an album, I was writing these songs purely from the heart and because like everyone else I didn’t have much else to do.”

Familiar to fans already as a staple of her spellbinding live sets and a highlight of her 2019 album ‘Georgie: Live!’ (recorded at Nottingham’s Trinity Church), the lead single from the new album: “Chasing Kites” was also the only song to exist pre-lockdown. Co-written with Eg White (Kylie/Adele) at his world class studio in Shepherd’s Bush in 2019, the positive experience instilled Georgie with the self-belief to write the rest of ‘At Home’ as a solo effort. In 2021, standby for its follow-up single: “Simple Things”, with an official video featuring Game of Thrones star: Bella Ramsey.

Already a familiar face to many on the UK music scene, Georgie was the first signing to Soul Kitchen Recordings (the label set up by Jake Bugg’s management company: Soul Kitchen). She has built up a loyal following supporting Jake Bugg, Blossoms, Tom Walker, Jack Savoretti and The Lighthouse Family. She comes from Mansfield but her heart is in Laurel Canyon.

Her new album, ‘At Home’ receives its long awaited official release on 8 January 2020, via Soul Kitchen Records.
