On August 14th Mell & Vintage Future, a Dutch trio who play rootsy rhythm ’n blues and soul, release their new single ‘Brand New Day’. It’s the first single of their second album which will be released in 2021. This album is the successor of their self-titled debut album which was released in 2019 and has over 9 million streams already. On August 16th they will perform at the finals of the popular Dutch TV show ‘We Want More’. Listen to ‘Brand New Day’ here!

Mell & Vintage Future came to the scene in early 2016. The group, consisting of lead singer Melanie Jonk (known from The Voice of Holland 2014), session drummer Ton Dijkman (worked with Marco Borsato, Candy Dulfer, Thé lau and Barry Hay a.o.) and Nico Brandsen who is known for his edgy magic with vintage equipment (worked with (worked with Dutch artists Ilse de Lange, Anouk, Angela Groothuizen, Kane and Jan Akkerman a.o.).

In 2019 they released their self-titled debut album, both physical and online, which got critically acclaimed. They are frequent guests on both radio and TV. The single ‘Central Station’ became Top Song at Dutch radio station: Radio 2. They played shows in The Netherlands with their own club tour and at multiple festivals. The new album will be another soulful record full of powerful songs.
