Eyezic is a Washington D.C.-based producer whose star continues to burn brighter with each release. Standing behind a catalog that spans trap, house, breaks, melodic bass, UK garage, and beyond, his style is ever-evolving. Returning to Lost In Dreams Records, the dynamic phenom is setting forth his new four-track sophomore EP ‘In Motion.’ The moving project builds on the success of the lead single “Crush” and serves as a follow-up to his 2024 ‘Reflections’ EP. ‘In Motion’ is a melodic journey that explores the ever-evolving flow of life.

Setting the stage comes the beautiful opener “Holding On.” Emotion-filled vocals anchor the track while a stripped-back intro offers a sense of openness, which is unbridled from doubt or judgment.

The rich textures create an engrossing sonic world that becomes increasingly more immersive with each passing bar. Smooth percussion helps to establish the four-on-the-floor framework that springs to life within the drops. Punchy kicks are layered over smooth baselines and playful drum programming for an energetic, dance-friendly groove. Pitched vocal bends add a fun-fueled balance that contrasts the gripping allure of the main vocal. “Holding On” is a wondrous dose of nostalgia that delivers the feels with a sweet undercurrent.

Eyezic opens up about the special people that inspired the track, saying, “‘Holding On’ shares the memory that I have with the ones I love, talking about the good, great, and

beyond extravagant moments with the people I have learned to be myself around, and those I consider my family. This song also has a particular meaning to really keeping those you care for near and dear to your heart.”

“Gravity” is an ode to the forces beyond our control. Savannah Scgro’s vocals are impassioned and inviting, baring her soul as she charters the highs and lows of love and the magnetic pull from that power. The melodic house groove is reflective and poignant without losing its momentum. The tension and release simulates the back and forth of a love that doesn’t come easy but is worthy of the effort. Thumping kicks hit like a racing heart while catchy melodies and ghostly vocal layers add an uncertain sense of beauty.

Breaking down the inspiration behind the collaboration, Eyezic explains, “‘Gravity’ shares the moments of the ‘push and pull’ of someone you know is worth fighting for. Through the good, and bad, it's all a never-ending cycle when it’s those you really share such a strong connection with.”

Joining forces with LA-based singer/songwriter JiLLI comes “Never Should’ve Called.” The melodic house ballad traces the remorse of trying to fix a situation that is already too far gone. JiLLI’s forlorn vocals cut deep with an intimate sense of regret that’s underscored by its almost whisper-like character. Delicate ostinato sequences, shuffling drums, sheeny textures, and warm, modulating synth leads provide the soundbed for this gripping collaboration. Beauty swirls with melancholy for a dizzying yet relatable ballad that will tug at the heartstrings.

Offering insight into the meaning behind the song, Eyezic explains: “‘Never Should’ve Called’ talks about the regrets of past decisions—feeling like you’ve made a mistake in trying to work things out with someone that should’ve ended a while back. Even though you think it could be fixed, it’s better to turn away and keep moving.”

Offering the perfect close comes the lead single “Crush.” It’s a mesmerizing blend of breakbeat-fueled melodic house, with Eyezic’s signature production finesse providing the perfect backdrop for Brody Leigh’s delicate yet emotive vocals. The track unfurls with warm synth stabs and swirling chime tones, evoking an atmosphere of dreamy infatuation. Majestic horn melodies and organic bird sounds weave through the mix, creating a euphoric rush of sonic oxytocin that captures the intensity of longing and love.

Breaking down the emotions fueling the lead single, Eyezic recounts: “There are moments in life where you find it difficult to express how you feel about someone, so you find yourself expressing these emotions in a different way. This could be anywhere from showing love, carefulness, sadness, or any emotion in between. I was never any good with my words, so I started writing songs about them instead.”

Eyezic’s musical versatility has cemented his position in the electronic music scene, skillfully blending elements of UK garage, stutter house, trap, and melodic bass. His previous work on Lost In Dreams earned acclaim from outlets such as This Song Is Sick, This Song Slaps, Relentless Beats, Frontview Magazine, Indie Dream, Music You Wanna Listen To, and EDM Tunes, further solidifying his reputation as a multifaceted artist. Beyond his studio success, Eyezic has graced stages at major events like Beyond Wonderland Chicago and is in the midst of his official ‘In Motion’ Tour with stops at Headflyer Brewing, Larimer Lounge, and The Office.

Eyezic continues to prove himself as one of electronic music’s brightest stars, blurring the lines between emotive ballads and club-friendly grooves, all with a masterful precision. Lost In Dreams once again offers the perfect home for such a dreamy and journey-like sonic offering.
