Today, Australian singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Eddie Benjamin releases “HOME,” a deeply intimate and gorgeously spare collaboration with his friend, collaborator, and current tour headliner Shawn Mendes. Out now via Epic Records, the single arrives with an atmospheric video and serves as one of the centerpiece songs of Eddie’s anticipated forthcoming debut album. Listen to “HOME” with Shawn Mendes HERE and watch the video HERE.

Performed by Eddie and Shawn on acoustic guitar — and produced by Eddie with co-production by Alex Salibian (Harry Styles) — “HOME” is an intricately strummed folk ballad about the exquisite ache of letting someone important go. “I wanna fall into your collar, it makes the world a little smaller,” Eddie begins. “I wanna feel it for a moment, but can we leave the door cracked open?” That push-and-pull of craving both connection and freedom also shapes Shawn’s tender verse. “I have this recurring dream, you build a life with someone else,” he coos. “I swear I want you to be happy / Hell, I want that for myself.”

The “HOME” video is suitably cozy and raw, finding Eddie and Shawn strumming their guitars in the woods at night without another soul in sight. Directed by Mitch deQuilettes (Shygirl, Childish Gambino), the heartfelt performance captures the song’s emotional gravitas as well as their thoughtful delivery, proven chemistry, and the delicacy of their songwriting.

HOME” notably reunites Eddie with Shawn Mendes after the two closely collaborated across the entirety of Shawn’s 2024 self-titled album. “Creating ‘HOME’ with Shawn was a natural experience,” notes Eddie. “I’m grateful to not only make music with my closest friends, but to do life with them, too."

The duo are together on the North American tour leg of Shawn MendesOn The Road Again, which kicked off on September 25 in Boston, MA. Set to wrap next Friday, October 17, at the legendary Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA, tickets can be purchased HERE. See below for current routing.

“HOME” is the latest taste of Eddie’s upcoming full-length album, a coming-of-age set exploring relationships, loss, grief, and the need for human connection. This marks his fourth solo single of 2025, following the hopeful, self-reflective DRIVING,” RUN! — a strikingly urgent R&B cut that captures the sudden unraveling of an intense bond between two lovers — and MANIAC, a piano-pounding rock/soul/jazz/pop whirlwind of a lead single that dances on the edge of sonic and emotional chaos.

In addition to putting the finishing touches on his debut full-length project, Eddie worked extensively on Justin Bieber's surprise albums SWAG and SWAG II. He co-wrote and co-produced across 29 tracks on both sets — including hit single “DAISIES,” which launched at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 this July and currently remains in the Top 5. He notably made his Hot 100 debut as an artist on the first album’s title track, “SWAG.”

All of this activity has only upped the anticipation for fans patiently awaiting Eddie’s first new body of work since 2023's Weatherman EP, which included the titular hit Weatherman — dubbed one of the “best songs of the year” by TIME — and the Alessia Cara duet Only You,” which the duo brought to Jimmy Kimmel Live! That project came on the heels of his striking 2021 debut EP, Emotional, which also garnered widespread praise. Along the way, he has collaborated both on record and in the studio with names such as Sia, WILLOW, Raye, Meghan Trainor, Earth Wind & Fire, and many others.

With “HOME,” Eddie adds another evocative, emotionally rich chapter to his unfolding new musical era.

About Eddie Benjamin:

Inspired by the furious currents and peaceful tides he saw out his window growing up in Bondi Beach, Sydney, Eddie Benjamin makes startlingly dynamic pop music. The singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer’s knack for capturing the wild drama of human nature has mesmerized fans across two EPS—his debut Emotional and the conceptual Weatherman—as well as multiple buzzing singles. His striking musicianship has also attracted fellow artists as close collaborators, including Justin Bieber (Eddie worked extensively across this year’s SWAG and SWAG II), Shawn Mendes, WILLOW, Sia, Raye, Meghan Trainor, Alessia Cara, and more. As he readies his debut album with a string of deeply personal songs, including “MANIAC,” “RUN!,” “DRIVING,” and HOME” with Shawn Mendes, Benjamin’s expression gets more visceral, transmitting confusion, pain, and resilience via surprising peals of guitar, disembodied vocals, hot bass runs, and pounding keys. Holding it all together is the gift for unpredictable songcraft he started developing as a kid after seeing Prince play bass live in concert. By age 13, Benjamin’s life revolved around playing local jazz venues and headlining a weekly residency at a nearby nightclub. After moving to L.A., he won fans and collaborators alike with his probing lyrics and uniquely analog-infused sound — a swirl of psychedelia, soul, rock, and pop that, these days, feels as virtuosic as it does effortless and urgent. “I don't make a song unless it's piercing out of me,” he says. Eddie Benjamin sounds more at home in the extremes than ever.

About Shawn Mendes

GRAMMY-nominated & multi-platinum singer/songwriter Shawn Mendes has released 5 acclaimed studio albums, all of which will be highlighted on his 2025 tour, On The Road Again. His latest album, Shawn, released last year, draws deeply from his travels and experiences over the last few years. Representing his most musically intimate and lyrically honest work to date, Shawn guides listeners through a profound self-dialogue with each song. The album was heralded as a “triumph” and a “highlight of the 26-year-old's career” (USA Today).

In 2018 Shawn released his self-titled platinum album, which was also nominated in two categories for the 61st annual GRAMMY® Awards, including “Song of the Year” for “In My Blood” and “Best Pop Vocal Album” for SHAWN MENDES. The same year Shawn debuted his 3x platinum single, “If I Can’t Have You,” at #1 on iTunes and #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Following the GRAMMY nominated album, Shawn’s 2020 album, Wonder, debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200, becoming Shawn's fourth consecutive US number-one album. It also made Shawn the youngest male artist to top the Billboard 200 with four regular studio albums. In 2019, Shawn was nominated for a GRAMMY for “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance” for “Señorita,” his hit single with Camila Cabello. With “Señorita” at #1 and “If I Can’t Have You” at #2, Shawn is the first male solo artist ever to simultaneously hold the #1 and #2 places on the Top 40 chart. Shawn broke onto the scene in April of 2017 with his 6x platinum hit “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back.” The track scored Shawn his second #1 single at Top 40 radio and on Billboard’s Pop Songs chart, joining his 8x platinum single “Stitches.” Shawn has amassed 62 billion global song streams, 20 billion video views over his chart-topping career and has 11 tracks with over 1 billion streams.

Beyond his music career, Shawn focuses his charitable efforts on empowering young people to make positive change in their communities. In 2019, he launched the Shawn Mendes Foundation (SMF) to support young changemakers and amplify their voices. Through SMF, Mendes provides Wonder Grants to young activists to empower their cause-related work. His foundation also supports music therapy at Toronto’s SickKids Hospital through the “Wonder of Music” program, sponsored a cohort of international youth leaders through Global Citizen Year, and supported a youth climate education cohort through Future Coalition. Mendes’ philanthropic efforts span mental health, music education, civic engagement, and sustainability, consistently leveraging his platform to inspire and uplift young leaders.
