DRAGGED INTO SUNLIGHT have confirmed that they will once again be touring Europe as main support to black metal pioneers, MAYHEM. Having already notched up several weeks on the road as part of MAYHEM's De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas anniversary tour, DRAGGED INTO SUNLIGHT will take up the main support slot once again, starting in September.
Having gained notoriety for their vicious and ritualistic live performances, DRAGGED INTO SUNLIGHT make for the perfect tour partners for MAYHEM - another band that has thrived on audio annihilation and relentless bleakness - as evidence during the first run of dates together, earlier this year.
DRAGGED INTO SUNLIGHT commented: "We have lots planned over the coming year. Whilst we had not anticipated any interruptions to our work in progress, in MAYHEM we have found the behemoth of all extremes. MAYHEM push themselves as hard if not harder than DRAGGED INTO SUNLIGHT, and it seems we are gluttons for punishment."
With band members known only by their initials, and a back catalogue featuring two destructive, nerve-shredding albums under their own name, and a ground breaking collaborative outing with prolific cave dwellers, Gnaw Their Tongues, DRAGGED INTO SUNLIGHT remain shrouded in a cloak of dank anonymity.
The band has toured alongside the likes of Cough, Primitive Man, Rwake, Today Is The Day, and Soilent Green, and taken on high-profile appearances at festivals such as Roadburn, Maryland Deathfest, and Incubate. DRAGGED INTO SUNLIGHT's live performances have exposed the band to ever-increasing audiences across the globe; all willing to join the band on their relentless warpath towards aural armageddon.
