The Dutch hip-hop jesters of the band De Jeugd Van Tegenwoordig (‘Today’s Kids’), the international but essentially Belgian Puggy and the Swedish/Scottish Nina Nesbitt have been added to the programme on Saturday 2 August! Together with the already confirmed exclusive shows of Madness and Goose, this promises to become a big party!

De jeugd van Tegenwoordig

De Jeugd Van Tegenwoordig is a Dutch rap band that has already been scoring hits in The Netherlands and Flanders for years now. With De Jeugd live on stage you can be assured of a real swinging party! Just remember those previous appearances they made at Suikerrock…
Together with, among others, Madness and Goose they will turn Saturday 2 August into a really hot party session!

Puggy

Puggy is a trio of born musicians that exude so much international glamour that some people have doubts about whether they are really Belgian. Not that they were trying to avoid the spotlights, because with their previous album Something You Might Like (2010) they scored platinum and became radio hits with universal super pop songs like 'When You Know' and 'How I Needed You'.

Last year Puggy sold out no less than four fully-packed nights at the Ancienne Belgique playhouse in Brussels and this year they filled the Forêt National show hall to full capacity. No surprise, as whoever sees them live becomes totally addicted. Their 100% pure pop rock, always performed with full conviction, stuns anyone straight away. Meanwhile, their new CD 'To Win the World', with its hyper enticing title song, as well as the single 'Goes like this' have become ingrained in our musical memory!

Nina Nesbitt

Nina Nesbitt: half Scottish, half Swedish and only 19-years-old, but has already produced 5 EPs and so far has clocked 20,000,000 views on YouTube and has 130,000 followers on  Twitter. She recently launched her first album 'Peroxide', including the hit single 'Selfies'.

Ed Sheeran turned Nesbitt’s career into a whirlwind after having discovered her on YouTube. He invited the young singer/songwriter to perform in the supporting programme during his European tour.
Belgium only really discovered her at the end of 2013 when she rendered the Scottish national anthem 'Flower of Scotland' at the start of the World Cup qualifying match between Scotland and Belgium.
Make sure not to miss this as an opener on Saturday 2 August, because it will not be the last we will ever hear from this lady!

The 28th Win for Life Suikerrock takes place on Friday 1, Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 August 2014 in the centre of Tienen.
