An alluring soundscape of deep, ominous synths and booming beats with LaRosa’s haunting vocals, LaRosa’s cinematic experience for the music – co-directed and co-edited by LaRosa herself – sees her creating fully-realized visual worlds for her songs, which she began creating on TikTok. Inspired by LaRosa’s favorite horror movies, the short film begins with the tension of “HAUNTED”; built around the threatening visual of a dark figure following LaRosa through a quiet neighbourhood and an ensuing escape, the visual experience comes full circle in the beautifully melancholic “HEAVEN” video (premiered by Clash Magazine).

i’m watching you marks Isabel LaRosa’s first release since signing a major deal with RCA Records in the US and Ministry of Sound in the UK, in what is sure to be the first of several exciting projects to come.

Now splitting her time between Brooklyn and her hometown of Annapolis, MD, LaRosa is rising as a voice to represent those who didn’t grow up in the hustle and bustle of major cities, and a leader amongst a new wave of talent in the buzzy alt-pop Brooklyn scene – further backed up by LaRosa racking up an impressive 10M+ streams on Spotify and 3.3M+ likes on TikTok, alongside high praise for her quirky dark-pop style from global stars like Nessa Barrett and 24kGoldn.
