Two of Nashville’s standout Canadian talents, platinum-selling artist Tebey and multi-award winner Tenille Arts, unite for a captivating new duet, "Hangover At My Place". The classic call-and-response track seamlessly blends Tebey and Tenille's vocals, creating a captivating interplay between the sweeping chorus and irresistible harmonies. This dynamic collaboration exudes the electric chemistry of a chance late-night encounter described in the lyrics, evolving into an unforgettable night that resonates long after the final note.
On the creative process, Tebey shares, "I wrote this song with a really great group of writers. It took a few hours of tossing around song ideas before we eventually settled on the title ‘Hangover At My Place’. Initially we didn’t intend to write it as a duet, but once the chorus melody started to take shape, we thought it could be cool to have a male and female call and answer type chorus, which you don’t really hear much anymore." On deciding who to collaborate on the track, he explains, "I remember saying to my co-writers the day we wrote the song... ‘You know who would sound killer on this? Tenille Arts!’ So I was really excited when she agreed to sing it with me several months later."
"The first time I heard the song I was so excited. It felt like a throwback duet but also current and I was honoured that Tebey thought of me," Tenille shares. "They did such a great job of writing a back-and-forth style song that really captures the rush of a night out and meeting someone new. I can’t wait for everyone to hear it!"
The collaboration follows an explosive year for Tebey with the release of his viral country rendition of The Weeknd’s "Blinding Lights." The cover took social media by storm when Tebey released a short clip on his channels, which led to over 13 million views in one week. His unique country twist on the acclaimed, record-breaking pop song rapidly captured the attention of users worldwide, leading to the official DSP release in a matter of days, and has since garnered over 14.5 million streams (audio & video) and over 75 million impressions across social platforms.
