Brighton-based gritpop duo snake eyes are pleased to reveal their new single ‘i’m a daydream’ released 27th november 2025 via all good digital service providers. The track is the latest in a string of hard-hitting singles taken from their long-awaited debut album, cash rich, set for release on 30th january 2026 via alcopop! records (uk) and grand hotel van cleef (ger).

‘I’m a daydream’ was written in the flat where guitarist jim heffy spent lockdown, looking out over brighton pier at a time when all he wanted to do was get out there and play music, rather than deliver pizza and twiddle on guitar in his bedroom.

commenting on the track, heffy says: “‘daydream’ reflects the introspection of that time for me. it’s about taking stock of personal progress and how it’s easy to lose sight of how far you’ve come when you’re always striving for what’s next, a common downfall of modern life. it’s so important to have self belief and to try and appreciate yourself along your journey. nothing worth having in this life comes easy.”

“this track was an opportunity for us to try something new, which is the beauty of writing for a full length! where a lot of our songs are short and snappy, we wanted this to be something that was floaty and provocative, something a bit more jammy you can get lost in.”

"i really love lots of more atmospheric and hypnotic music and have been a fan of stuff like slowdive for many, many years now,” adds drummer thomas coe-brooker. “jim really vibes with artists like diiv and fontaines, so it was really lovely on a personal level to channel some of these kind of influences on our debut album."

the pair recently announced a run of march 2026 uk headline tour dates along with appearances at supersonic block party festival in paris and 2000 trees festival already on the cards for next year - tickets are on sale now, see below for listings.

self-produced by band members jim heffy and thomas coe-brooker, their forthcoming debut album was mixed by tom hill (john, soot sprite) and mastered by dan coutant (the wonder years, fiddlehead, drug church).

snake eyes kicked off 2025 with their roaring return single ‘hug me’—featuring guest vocals from erik heise of german punk chart toppers and touring buddies pabst—and follow ups ‘jar full of wasps’, ‘hdtv’, and ‘no cars’ picking up support from bbc r1, bbc 6music, radio x and hitting global spotify new music friday playlists.

starting the year with a raft of high profiles support slots alongside the meffs, dune rats, you me at six, and kid kapichi, the pair recently announced that they will be performing as a live duo for the foreseeable future, following the departure of bassist sophie douglas last year.

following a slew of summer 2025 festival appearances, snake eyes recently supported dinosaur pile up on their september 2025 uk tour dates alongside the xcerts, rounding the year off with a run of their own eu headline dates and supports with adam angst, before heading back out to germany in december 2025 once more with dinosaur pile up.
