Sweet Talk is the follow up single to Apple & Spotify Editorial supported 'Hate Me' taken from the forthcoming Debut album BS seeing tracks drop every 4 weeks til March 2025.
Following the success of their debut singles “FIGHT” and “YOU KILLED IT,” Portsmouth-based sister duo Baby Said is set to release their latest track, “Hate Me,” on November 1st. This powerful anthem dives into the raw emotions of rejection and defiance, further cementing Baby Said as one of the most exciting rising acts in the rock scene today.
‘’With their raw energetic sound, powerful vocals and determination to succeed, we believe they have everything to become a hit’’ (ROTD)
‘’This lot are also super-tight – the Pal sisters are teenagers and, boy, do they have the songs, every one a catchy smasher, In the wake of Wet Leg, who they loosely resemble (only Baby Said are more US rock), the world may be theirs’’. Thomas H Green (The Arts Desk, Telegraph,)
A Meteoric Rise
Since their debut, Baby Said has been making waves in the alternative world. Their singles were handpicked by the Editorial team at Apple Music, earning spots on flagship playlists like The New Rock (#2 in the UK and Italy) and New in Rock (#4 in the UK, USA, and more). Their track “MOUTH SHUT” garnered widespread Apple editorial support, while “PANIC ATTACK” provided the perfect conclusion to their debut EP, Who Gives A Rock.
Veronica and Jess’s hard-hitting sound has caught the attention of the music industry, leading to radio support from Radio 1’s Alyx Holcombe Show, BBC Introducing, Radio X, and more. They were also named “Ones to Watch” by ROTD, and A&R Worldwide selected them as Artists of the Week.
Summer Festival Success
Fresh off supporting U.S. rockers Dirty Honey on tour they were selected for The Great Escape Festival, Reading & Leeds, Live At Leeds, Victorious, Rebellion, Twisterella, and Loud Women. The band’s festival performances promise to further cement their place as one of the UK’s most exciting new rock acts.
About the song
‘’Sweet talk is about waiting on someone who is not worth the wait, that makes you a lot of really nice promises but you know they’d never follow through- you realise you were just entertaining an idea and don’t need to waste your time.’’
