Alvaro Soler’s new album marks an important milestone in his ten-year musical journey. It captures his growth as both an artist and a person, blending experimentation, emotion, and optimism. Alvaro Soler's debut album Eterno Agosto (2015) launched him to international fame, topping charts in Switzerland and Italy. The record went gold and platinum multiple times and included the hit single El Mismo Sol.

Now, Alvaro Soler reconnects with his roots by naming his new album El Camino after an early song from that first record. Over the past decade, he has sold more than two million albums and reached over five billion streams worldwide. He has received more than 150 gold and platinum awards and is celebrated from Berlin to Buenos Aires and Tokyo. After collaborations with artists like Jennifer Lopez, Flo Rida, and Birdy, he begins a new creative chapter.

El Camino (“The Way”) is a musical road movie — a reflection on where he’s been and where he’s going. Written across Berlin, Barcelona, London, Miami, and East Africa, the album carries global influences. It merges pop, Latin, and world music into a universal language full of color and positivity. Through diverse instruments and Spanish lyrics, Alvaro Soler paints vibrant, hopeful soundscapes.

Now a husband and father, he reveals new depth and maturity in his songwriting. He draws inspiration from film scores like Tarzan and The Lion King, aiming to create uplifting, emotional music. His songs serve as a form of self-healing and a safe space for honest expression. For the first time, he openly explores topics like anxiety, responsibility, and hope for the future.

The opening track, Distancia, sets the tone with an ancient Indonesian drum symbolizing new beginnings. Soler’s fascination with old instruments and unique sounds runs throughout the album. He believes that real instruments carry an energy that connects him to the past. This organic philosophy continues on Apágame, a call to unplug from digital life and reconnect with reality. The romantic single Te Imaginaba celebrates love, sincerity, and human connection. Marriage and fatherhood have given him peace, balance, and a deeper awareness of life. His journey now leads him toward “Santa Alegría,” a sunlit place of joy and inner calm. Songs like Regalo and Lo Que Pasó Pasó embrace gratitude, healing, and emotional honesty. The introspective ballad Mejor Que Yo provides a calm moment before upbeat tracks like Artificial and Con Calma. In Cero (featuring the Namayana Women’s Choir), he blends African rhythms with a message of unity and compassion. Written in Kenya, the song celebrates the shared humanity that connects people across cultures. Other tracks — Dicen, Buena Vida, Electricidad, and Jardín de los Recuerdos — radiate joy, reflection, and hope.

Throughout the album, Alvaro Soler gives himself complete creative freedom and rediscovers his passion for music. For him, El Camino is both a personal rebirth and a feel-good soundtrack that uplifts, comforts, and inspires.
