Protoje — one of the most vital voices in global reggae today — has officially announced the release of his seventh full length album, The Art of Acceptance, arriving April 17, 2026 via In.Digg.Nation Collective / Ineffable Records. The Art of Acceptance follows Protoje’s Grammy-nominated Third Time’s The Charm (2022) and continues his legacy of music rooted in consciousness, cultural truth, and spiritual grounding. The album is produced by longtime collaborator Winta James and features a predominantly Jamaican cast of collaborators, underscoring Protoje’s commitment to preserving and advancing the sound and spirit of Jamaica on a global stage.
Features include Jamaica's own Shenseea, Masicka, Jesse Royal, Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley and Stephen Marley as well as U.S. Virgin Islands' Pressure Busspipe — a powerful convergence of voices that reflects both generational legacy and modern innovation.
Leading up to the announcement, Protoje rolled out three singles from the album including “At We Feet” ft. Damian Marley, “BIG 45” and “Feel It”. The singles set the tone for an album that is expansive yet deeply personal — rooted in tradition while pushing forward sonically.
Protoje describes the album as both a spiritual reckoning and a creative rebirth. “The Art of Acceptance’ isn’t just about peace — it’s about the raw, sometimes painful work of facing yourself fully, embracing the parts you might want to hide, and then radiating from that wholeness. I’ve worked on this album for the last three years with great focus alongside Winta James, our first full project together since A Matter of Time (2022). The sounds came out beyond our expectations — a proper mixture of innovation and homage to our roots. Every feature on this album is a dream collaboration, and having them all come together feels like divine timing.”
Winta James adds: “Protoje and I first worked together over ten years ago, and this record perfectly illustrates his evolution. It’s an amalgamation of the sounds that inspired us over the years — from updated acoustic traditional reggae to the digital reggae revolution of the late ’80s and early ’90s, with a sprinkling of hip-hop-inspired grooves.”
In support of the album, Protoje will embark on The Art of Acceptance Tour, spanning Jamaica, Europe, the United Kingdom, and North America. He will get started ahead of the album release with his own curated 2-day Lost In Time Festival in Kingston, Jamaica. The tour includes major festival appearances such as New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Austin Reggae Festival, and Reggae Rise Up, alongside headline club and theater dates. Full tour dates HERE.

Protoje is the name that reverberates at the core of Jamaica’s musical renaissance. A visionary and an architect of sound, Protoje has redefined what it means to be a modern artist, blending the rich heritage of reggae with the fresh influence of hip-hop, soul, and jazz. From his roots in Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica, Protoje’s journey is one marked by passion, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to his craft. In 2014, with his iconic track "Who Knows" ft. Chronixx, Protoje became a prominent figure of the "reggae revival" movement. But it didn’t stop there—his journey took him to uncharted territory, collaborating with global superstars like Jorja Smith, Alicia Keys, Pa Salieu, Wiz Khalifa and many more. His track “Switch It Up” ft. Koffee made its way into Barack Obama’s 2021 Summer Playlist, a testament to Protoje’s cross-generational appeal and cultural resonance. But Protoje’s influence extends beyond just his music. He’s the founder of In.Digg.Nation Collective, a platform built to uplift the next wave of Jamaican talent, which nurtured artists like Sevana, Lila Iké, and Jaz Elise. His catalog of albums—each one a reflection of the time—shows his ability to evolve and push the boundaries of what reggae can be. With two Grammy nominations for Best Reggae Album, for A Matter of Time (2018) and Third Time’s The Charm (2022), Protoje’s name is etched alongside the greats. From Rolling Stone to Vogue, from The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert, Protoje’s reach is vast, transcending borders and genres, leaving an indelible mark on the global stage. His performances at Coachella, Glastonbury, and Lollapalooza have solidified him as one of the most dynamic forces in modern music. Protoje is a cultural catalyst who’s redefined what it means to be a Jamaican musician in the 21st century. Uncompromising, boundary-pushing, and constantly evolving
