Pop superstar, songwriter, actress and cultural phenomenon Addison Rae has released her latest single, “Fame Is a Gun,” via Columbia Records. Listen to the song and watch the video, directed by Sean Price Williams, here.

On Friday June 6th, pop superstar, songwriter, actress, and cultural phenomenon Addison Rae released her highly anticipated debut album, Addison, out now via Columbia Records. The album artwork was crafted in collaboration with some of the fashion world’s most sought-after creatives. The striking visuals were captured by legendary fashion photographer Ethan James Green, with makeup by her frequent collaborator Dame Pat McGrath, assisted by Jenna Kuchera. Hair styling was handled by Lucas Wilson, and nails were done by Mei.

The singer kicked off her album cycle with a bang, releasing the lead single from Addison, “Diet Pepsi,” in August 2024. The infectious summer anthem quickly gained critical praise and commercial success, climbing charts globally and marking her first entry on the Billboard Hot 100. A few months later, she followed up with the hypnotic track “Aquamarine,” followed by “High Fashion” earlier this year. Both songs, along with their captivating music videos, highlight her affinity for fashion and showcase her collaborations with top-tier creatives in the industry, including Dara Allen, Mel Ottenberg, Mitch Ryan, and Dame Pat McGrath, to name a few. The locations of the video shoots are also intentional: “Aquamarine” was filmed in Paris during Fashion Week, while “High Fashion” was shot in Louisiana, paying tribute to the singer’s home state. Addison also released “Headphones On,” which Harper’s Bazaar praised as another in her “streak of winning singles,” and Pitchfork noted that even her “harshest skeptics have taken to her eccentric singles.” The official video for latest single, “Fame Is a Gun,” gives fans a taste of the glamorous life, immersing them in a hyper-stylized world where a platinum-blonde Addison commands the spotlight, taking the stage with impossibly catchy vocals and razor-sharp choreography by Danielle Polanco. Directed by Sean Price Williams—who also helmed the visuals for “Diet Pepsi” and “Aquamarine”—the video continues Addison’s streak of cinematic, high-fashion pop moments. All singles—"Diet Pepsi,” “Aquamarine,” “High Fashion,” “Headphones On” and “Fame Is a Gun”—will be featured on Addison, with each track produced by Luka Kloser and Elvira Anderfjärd. The duo also co-wrote every song alongside Addison.

Addison first acknowledged her full-length album during a February 2025 cover interview with Rolling Stone, where the legacy publication described the tracks as “hypnotic, trance-like pop songs, pulsating and lush,” designed to get people on their feet and dancing. Recently, she made waves with two surprise appearances at Coachella. The first was alongside Arca, where the duo performed "Arcamarine," Arca's take on Addison’s single "Aquamarine." On the second weekend, she delighted fans by joining Charli XCX during her set, and the duo performed their viral remix of “Von Dutch,” featuring Addison’s now-iconic scream, sending the crowd into a frenzy. This week, she graced the cover of ELLE Magazine’s May 2025 “Women in Music” issue, solidifying her status as the music world’s current it-girl.

Released alongside a music video directed by Sean Price Williams and under the creative direction of Mel Ottenberg, "Diet Pepsi" continues to cement Addison’s growing influence in music. She followed “Diet Pepsi” with “Aquamarine,” which featured a dazzling music video shot in Paris, France. Then, with her third single, “High Fashion,” PAPER Magazine declared that Addison had gone “three for three,” calling the new track “hypnotic and euphoric.” She continued the streak with “Headphones On,” a critically acclaimed single that also charted on the Billboard Hot 100. Her debut album Addison is out now. Last year, she released her long-awaited debut EP, AR. The EP gained 10 million streams in its first week and features the hit song “2 Die 4,” featuring Charli XCX.
