The ninth edition of Scandinavia’s leading festival for experimental rock music, A COLOSSAL WEEKEND, is about to unfold. Today, the full schedule is revealed for the festival, which takes place over three days in VEGA and Basement in Copenhagen from May 8–10, 2025.
Additionally, the festival announces two new acts as replacements for Ukrainian band WHITE WARD, who have just canceled all upcoming shows due to the war in their home country. Warm thoughts go out to the Ukrainians from the festival, who are at the same time pleased to present Patrick Walker, who will be performing solo material from his project 40 WATT SUN, as well as the Italian progressive post/math rockers VALERIAN SWING.
The two new artists join a massive lineup of 32 acts with headliners such as CHAT PILE, ORANSSI PAZUZU, ELDER, KYLESA, PALLBEARER, ZOLA JESUS, and KELLERMENSCH. For the first time, A COLOSSAL WEEKEND will also include Store VEGA, meaning the festival will span Lille VEGA, Store VEGA, and Basement, with Ideal Bar serving as a chill-out area and merch marketplace.

Two months ago, the festival announced that all weekend passes had sold out, faster than ever before in A COLOSSAL WEEKEND’s history. There are still two types of single-day tickets available for all three days, including the SELECTED Ticket, which grants access to the main stage, Store VEGA, on the chosen day.

For the 9th time, the Copenhagen festival will bring alternative heavy music to the venues VEGA and Basement at Vesterbro, Copenhagen, Denmark. With an ambitious artistic program that crosses genres, breaks conventions, and focuses on depth and quality, A COLOSSAL WEEKEND aims to create a unique festival celebrating the offbeat and heavy — much of which can't be experienced at other Scandinavian festivals. Over three days from May 8th to 10th 2025, 32 different acts from around the world will take the stage at the festival.
