Five years after their second studio masterpiece »Time I«, WINTERSUN awake again from the dark slumber and unleash the monumental successor »The Forest Seasons«. The release of this album was backed by an extensive crowdfunding, from whose proceeds the band want to build their long time planned studio and headquarter. After singer Jari Mäenpää decided to give up his live guitar duties to concentrate on lead vocals, the band presented their new guitarist Asim Searah. Proving his talents first on this year's summer festivals, the Finns are a freshly united team and more than ready to pour their epic melodic death metal over the stages of Europe in September and October.
Especially the loyal fans from Eastern Europe will be delighted to be able to see the masters of epicness live, when WINTERSUN finally come to Lithuania, Ukraine or Bulgaria and prove that Jari Mäenpää is still the virtuoso of bombastic soundscapes.
