Further to their previously announced headline tour dates, post-everything six piece,GOLD, have today announced a further run of shows. This time they'll be joined in a dual-pronged sonic attack by genre-bending duo, Necro Deathmort.
The band comment:
'We are really excited to wrap up our Optimist tour cycle with this adventurous and forward thinking double bill. This will be our eighth European tour in less than 2.5 years, and after this we will be focussing on writing and recording the follow up toOptimist."
GOLD released their latest album, Optimist, earlier this year via Ván Records to wide critical acclaim. Watch the video for the track Teenage Lust, here. As they prepare to say their farewells to touring the Optimist album, GOLD have been working on a last goodbye to the songs that have propelled them around the continent over the past year or so.
Ever ready to test the boundaries of musical creation and consumption, GOLD have teamed up with Oaken Palace Records for a remix EP which will see Optimist tracksWhite Noise and You Too Must Die remixed by Necro Deathmort and Bestial Mouths respectively. The EP will be available via Bandcamp and as a 7" physical release. All proceedings of the release are going to the preservation of the critically endangered white-backed vulture; pre-order details will follow
