English blackened grind duo ANAAL NATHRAKH will play their only UK show following the release of 'A New Kind of Horror' at Damnation Festival.

After orchestrating carnage across venues since their Damnation debut 11 years ago, the extreme metal Birmingham outfit will take the event's premier Jagermeister Stage at Leeds University Union on Saturday, November 3. And the duo are looking forward to unleashing fresh chaos this winter.

They said: "Damnation has long been one of the best one-day events anywhere, and Gav and the team unfailingly put together a superb lineup and a great festival to be at and play at.

"This year is especially perfect timing for us, as the festival takes place just shortly after the release of our new album, A New Kind of Horror.

"A move up to the main stage, new songs to play, we're genuinely excited to get back to Damnation and pile on the savagery."

North Dakota's enigmatic blackgaze collective, GHOST BATH, Philadelphia's post-metallers, ROSETTA, and Scotland's Celtic folk quartet, SAOR, also join the eclectic cast at the 14th chapter of the festival. Grammy award winning noise-rockers, ÅRABROT, will fly the flag for Norway, while Denmark's stunning act, MØL, and Austria's party thrashers, INSANITY ALERT, complete a European invasion.

The seven bands join previously announced Ihsahn, Batushka, The Ocean and Fukpig on the bill, with 16 bands still to be announced over four stages.

Årabrot said: "Thank you for having us, Damnation. Årabrot is pleased to return to Leeds for the first time in a decade. We hope it will be hotter than Dante’s Nine Circles Of Hell."

Saor added: "We are looking forward to playing Damnation Festival for the first time and being part of such a great line-up. "

And Insanity Alert joked: "We, four idiots from the damn nation Austria, can't wait to thrash shit up at this year's Damnation Festival! "Very proud to be part of this great event with such an awesome reputation. See you there - Run to the pit, mosh for your life!"

Tickets, priced £43, are on sale now from damnationfestival.co.uk and facebook.com/damnationfestival
